Pat Dennehy Signs is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This statement establishes the basis on which any personal data we collect from and about you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

 

Data information we collect from you

We collect Data about you on the Site which you volunteer when you email us or by using our online chat, Contact Us or Request A Quote forms. When you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence for as long as we need to to enable us to respond to your enquiry. We also collect Data automatically when you navigate through our Site, as explained in our Cookie Policy.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

• Contact information (business name, business address, contact name, contact telephone number, email address, payment details) and your IP address, your browser type.

Lawfulness of Processing

There are six alternative ways in which the lawfulness of a specific case of processing of personal data may be established under the GDPR.

It is Pat Dennehy Signs' policy to identify the appropriate basis for processing and to document it, in accordance with the regulation. The options are described in brief in the following sections.

Unless it is necessary for a reason allowable in the GDPR, Pat Dennehy Signs will always obtain explicit consent from a data subject to collect and process their data. Transparent information about our usage of their personal data will be provided to data subjects at the time that consent is obtained and their rights with regard to their data explained, such as the right to withdraw consent.

Where the personal data collected and processed are required to fulfil a contract with the data subject, explicit consent is not required. This will often be the case where the contract cannot be completed without the personal data in question e.g. a delivery cannot be made without an address to deliver to.

3. Legal Obligation

If the personal data is required to be collected and processed in order to comply with the law, then explicit consent is not required. This may be the case for some data related to employment and taxation for example, and for many areas addressed by the public sector.

4. Vital Interests of the Data Subject

In a case where the personal data are required to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person, then this may be used as the lawful basis of the processing. Pat Dennehy Signs will retain reasonable, documented evidence that this is the case, whenever this reason is used as the lawful basis of the processing of personal data.

5. Task Carried Out in the Public Interest

Where Pat Dennehy Signs needs to perform a task that it believes is in the public interest or as part of an official duty then the data subject’s consent will not be requested. The assessment of the public interest or official duty will be documented and made available as evidence where required.

6. Legitimate Interests

How we use your data

We use your Data where necessary for our legitimate business interests, including:  

• To allow us to provide you with personalised signage and/or print service you request from us such as product info, quotations and order fulfilment;
• To facilitate our invoicing processes as well as process payments to fulfil your order;
• To provide you with information about other services we offer that are similar to those you have already requested of us or enquired about; 
• To notify you of changes to our services that may affect your business; 
• To improve the content of our Site and the quality of our products and services that we offer via an annual customer survey. 

Who we share your data with

We strongly respect your right to privacy so you can rest assured that under no circumstances will we sell or rent your information to any third parties, nor will we give access to your details for marketing purposes. We will share your information with contractors of Pat Dennehy Signs in connection with services that these individuals or entities perform for or with Pat Dennehy Signs.

• Individuals and organisations who hold information related to your order, ie. courier, fitter, MIS database and Accounts software;
• Tax, audit, or other authorities, when we believe in good faith that the law or other regulation requires us to share this data (for example, because of a request by a tax authority or in connection with any anticipated litigation);
• Third party service providers who perform functions on our behalf (including external consultants, technical support functions and IT consultants carrying out testing and development work on our business technology systems);
•  Marketing technology platforms and suppliers, ie Survey Monkey (survey software), Granite Digital (website provider and online chat). 

Our contractors are restricted from using your data in any way other than to provide services for Pat Dennehy Signs, or services for the collaboration in which they and Pat Dennehy Signs are engaged. 

 

Data security and where your data is stored

Once you have given us personal details, we go to considerable lengths to ensure it is protected. We take our data security responsibilities seriously and employ a variety of security technologies (such as secure servers and SSL certs) and procedures to help protect your Data from unauthorised access and use.

We have implemented strict internal guidelines to ensure that your privacy is safeguarded at every level of our organisation.  We will continue to update policies and implement additional security features as new technologies become available.

Although we will do our best to protect your Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Data transmitted to our Site. While we do our utmost to guarantee the safety of your personal information, details such as your email address are being sent over the Internet, and as such we cannot 100% guarantee the security of these; you send information to us over the Internet at your own risk. Once we receive your Data, we will use appropriate security measures to seek to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure. 

All of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorised access and is not supplied to any third party. Pat Dennehy Signs Ltd does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
